Indiana Career Explorer

Indiana Career Explorer is an online tool that high school students can use to identify career interests, explore career options related to those interests, investigate educational pathways related to different career areas, and search for specific colleges/universities.
 
We would like all of our students to have an account and use this tool.  
 
To get started go to www.indianacareerexplorer.com/
  1. Click on the "New users register here" link to set up your free account.
  2. Select appropriate "User Type":  Select Student and appropriate grade level.
  3. Enter your registration information.  You will be asked to create a username and password.  Be sure to write this down and be sure to enter your e-mail address so you can access this information in the future should you forget it.
  4. IMPORTANT:   Be sure to enter Noblesville High School at the bottom of the page.  Then select "Register."
  5. You will now come to a page entitled Welcome to the Indiana Career Explorer.  Choose the Kuder Career Interest Inventory and select start.   This inventory will only take 9-10 minutes.
  6. From here, you can view and review careers and pathways and explore.  
  7. Other assessments you can use include the Kuder Skills Confidence Assessment and the Kuder Work Values Assessment. 

My College Quick Start

My College Quick Start -- PSAT and NMSQT takers can us this free college and career planning tool after they have taken the PSAT by using the code given in their results.  The PSAT is available to all sophomores and juniors at Noblesville High School.

Hoosier Hot 50 Jobs

Hoosier Hot 50 Jobs is a listing of the 50 fastest growing, high-wage jobs of tomorrow.  The Hoosier Hot 50 Jobs are ranked on wages and demand in 2020 for the state of Indiana.  Even though Hoosier Hot 50 Jobs focuses on the jobs of tomorrow, there are several jobs that are hot now.  Look for the yellow flame to see which jobs are in demand right now.

  • Bureau of Labor Statistics Career Info Page -- Created specifically for high school students, this is a great place to explore all things career related.
  • Union Apprenticeship Programs -- This site has information on 14 apprenticeship programs available to young people right that lead to high paying jobs and lifelong opportunities directly out of high school.
